an oldie i wrote living in LA. originally had a beat i stole from illingsworth that he told me i couldn't use. at first, i was jus happy to write and then i started playing the song live and it became a necessary staple. i waited in the cut like a patient jaguar for over a year and finally hit him up on some "heeeeeeey dawg, how bout now for that beat?" to which he was like "na you really can never have that beat. but what if i make one for you?" then was born this version, which i toured on live for damn near a year at this point and found the pocket to be waaaaay more appropriate, this one brings tears to my eyes especially now as someone's dad. so shout out my boy illingsworth and my dad and my son. peace.
